Airport
The Airport is a building on the side of the highway. It is unlocked after reaching 120,000 population.
Overview[]
Once you hit the popuation requirement, you can build the airport for 80,000 Simoleons and then wait for 1 day and 7 hours for it to build. This can be sped up by spending Simcash. The airport shows animations of planes landing and taking off as well as vehicles coming in and out. The main point of the airport are the cargo shipments, of which there are 3 types, all operated by "Llama Cargo" company. To do a cargo shipment, similarly to the Cargo Ship Dock, you need to fill 3 crates, each with a random number and type of commercial item. Filling a crate will give a small amount of Simoleons. After doing all the crates, you must hit the cast off button to send the plane and be rewarded with a special imported item, that will depend on the type of cargo shipment exported. If you are unhappy with the required items to send, you can choose to request a new shipment, which will start the timer over. This can be sped up for Simcash. Each plane will also only stay for a limited time before leaving. When on the airport UI, you can either tap the cargo box with that country’s glass or hit the yellow arrows at the top. You can also easily tell when a certain plane is there by looking at what trucks are in the parking lot: the same country’s flag will appear on the trucks.
Parisian Shipments[]
These are the first possible shipments as soon as the airport is built and give Parisian Items. Parisian residential zones are unlocked at the same time as the shipments. It takes 8 hours for a Parisian cargo request to arrive and it stays for 10 hours. When this kind of plane is at the airport, you will see trucks with a French flag on them indicating it is there.
London Shipments[]
London Shipments are the second airport shipment, unlocked when reaching 160, 000 population, and give London Items. When they become accessible, so do London town zones. It takes 12 hours for a London shipment to arrive and it stays for 8 hours. When the plane is at the airport you will see trucks with British flags indicating it is there.
Tokyo Shipments[]
Tokyo Shipments are the third and final unlocked airport shipment. They are attainable when your city reaches 260,000 inhabitants and give Tokyo Items. Tokyo zones become obtainable simultaneously. It takes 18 hours for a Tokyo shipment to arrive and it stays for 10 hours. Trucks with a Japanese flag will show up while their plane is grounded.
Airport Events[]
Sometimes a limited time event is held for one of the Airport Cargo Bays that decreases the loading time between deliveries. See the Airport Events page for more info.

Bugs[]
The cars that are parked in the parking lot do not spawn in your city. Instead when a car comes out of the airport a new one spawns and drives out.
If you zoom out all the way when a plane is leaving the airport, you will see the plane become partially invisible as it leaves.
