City Storage is where all items the player has is stored. Tapping on the City Storage Icon or the City Storage building will bring up the menu. City Storage is available from the start of the game. It starts with 30 capacity. It has a limited capacity and can be upgraded to store more items. After building the City Storage building, capacity increases to 40. If the capacity is full, the player will be unable to collect items from buildings or buy items from the Global Trade HQ. Players can go over the capacity by collecting items from events, offers, gifts, and OMEGA Canisters.
Increasing Capacity[]
The City Storage currently maxes out at 1,100. It can go above this by collecting temporary storage rewards from various events.
Storage Items[]
City Storage can be upgraded with Storage Items. There are 3 Storage Items; Storage Camera, Storage Lock, and Storage Bar. These are special items and can be earned by tapping opinion bubbles, gifts, offers, buying them with SimCash, events, and finding them in the Global Trade HQ. Each upgrade with Storage Items increases the capacity by 5. Each upgrade will require the same amount of each Storage Item. The City Storage can be upgraded to 1.000 with Storage Items.

Regional City Storage[]
For every Region unlocked, players can build a Regional City Storage after having 5,000 regional population. Each Regional City Storage adds 20 Capacity. If all Regions have a Regional City Storage, the maximum capacity is 1,100.
Temporary Storage[]

Temporary Storage Boosts increase the capacity of City Storage temporarily. Temporary Storage will expire when the event it was achieved in ends.
Earning Temporary Storage[]
Mayor's Pass and Mayor's Pass Premium+[]
Temporary Storage is available as rewards in Mayor's Pass. Reaching Tier 6 with Premium Pass will reward 10 Temporary Storage. Reaching Tier 20 with Premium Pass will reward 10 Temporary Storage. Reaching Tier 26 with Free Pass will reward 10 Temporary Storage. Reaching Tier 33 with Premium Pass will reward 15 Temporary Storage. A total of 45 Temporary Storage can be earned as Mayor's Pass rewards. Purchasing Mayor's Pass Premium+ will provide an additional 40 Temporary Storage. Temporary Storage earned from Mayor's Pass or Mayor's Pass Premium+ will expire when the Mayor's Pass Season ends.
Vu Pass[]
Temporary Storage is available as rewards in Vu Pass. Reaching tier 3 with Premium Vu Pass 1 will reward 5 Temporary Storage. Reaching tier 3 with Premium Vu Pass 2 will reward 5 Temporary Storage. Reaching tier 5 with Premium Vu Pass 3 will reward 10 Temporary Storage. A total of 20 Temporary Storage can be earned as Vu Pass rewards. Temporary Storage earned from Vu Pass will expire when the Vu Pass Season ends.
