Design Challenges Season 18 started August 5, 2022, and ends September 1, 2022. It is the 5th season to not include Contest of Mayor Season buildings. It is the 15th season to use the Blueprint Exchange reward format. It is the 9th season to have rewards depending on Design Challenge Leagues. This season introduces a new league called The Platinum League which means there's now 4 leagues. It takes 4,500 blueprints to unlock all 3 buildings or 2,000 to unlock Flower Garden Gazebo. This season includes 1 new limited time building, 1 returning limited time building, and 1 year round building. There were 7 challenges this season. They were Summer Holiday!, Family Downtown, Hidden City, Paradise in Oceania, City of History, Americana and Falling Leaves City.
