Design Challenges Season 36 started February 9, 2024 and ends March 8, 2024. It is the 23rd season to not include Contest of Mayor Season buildings. It is the 33rd season to use the Blueprint Exchange reward format. It is the 27th season to have rewards depending on Design Challenge Leagues. It takes 4,500 blueprints to unlock all 3 buildings or 2,000 to unlock the Petřín Cathedral. This season includes 2 returning limited-time buildings and 1 new limited-time building. There will be 7 challenges this season. They are Lunar New Year Celebrations, Carnival City, City of Romance, Water City, Trains Challenge, City of History, and City of Bridges.
