Industrial Buildings Icon

Industrial buildings produce Raw Materials. They include all the factories in the game. 12 Factories can be unlocked by leveling up. An additional 5 Regional Factories can be unlocked by opening that factory's region.

Materials Produced[]

Factories can produce 11 different Raw Materials. More materials are unlocked as the mayor levels up. Materials take time to produce. Depending on the material, the time it takes to produce will be different. Once a material has been put into a factory's slot, it will start producing it. Each factory can produce multiple materials simultaneously and will continue to produce them when the mayor closes the game. A material that is being produced can be sped up with SimCash, the amount of SimCash varies depending on the remaining time. A produced material will hover on top of the factory forever until collected.

Level Unlocked[]

The amount of factories a Mayor is allowed can be increased by leveling up. A maximum of 12 Factories can be unlocked.

Regional Factories[]

Each Region also has its own unique Regional Factory. Regional Factories can produce a single Regional Raw Material. Regional Factories are unlocked when opening that factory's region and cannot be moved between regions. All Regional Factories have 5 Production Slots and cost 15,000 Simoleons to build. All Regional Raw Materials take 6 minutes to produce.

Along with the introduction of Mayor's Pass Season 30: Florence came the Ad-powered Factory. By watching an ad, you can charge your factory and have it produce goods for the next 30 to 60 minutes!

Bonus Slot[]

During Mayor's Pass Season 19, the Factory Slot Offer was available and if purchased, all Factories, including Regional Factories, would receive 1 additional production slot during Mayor's Pass Season 19. When the offer was available, and not purchased, a yellow button appeared next to the last production slot and when clicked it opened the offer.
