Mayor's Pass Season 36: Lapland of Today (The Modern North) is the 36th Mayor's Pass season. It started on December 13, 2023 CT and ended on January 9, 2024 CT. It contained 2 Free Mayor's Pass buildings, 4 Premium Mayor's Pass buildings from the Premium Pass. Premium Pass costs $4.99. This is the sixteenth season to have Mayor's Pass Premium+. Premium+ costs $8.99. It adds an additional 10 tiers to the season. This is the 3rd 4-week Mayor's Pass. The chart below let's you know how many points are required weekly to reach a certain tier. It does not take the double point week into consideration.
Since Mayor's Pass season 34 there has been a double points week on week 4. Taking that into consideration, reaching the Treehouse Resort (Tier 35) building would require 68,500 points the first 3 weeks and 137,000 during week 4. Despite the large number for week 4, it's the same amount of work as the prior weeks for double the points. In order to reach Tier 38, 85,900 points are required the first 3 weeks and 171,800 during week 4. This number is different if Premium+ is purchased because it advances 5 tiers when purchased.
PREMIUM+ PASS ESTIMATES: Weekly tier point requirements can vary depending on when you choose to buy the Premium+ pass. The following method seeks to decrease the amount of work required to reach tier 38 and 48. It is better to not purchase the Premium+ pass at Tier 1. Tiers 1 to 5 only cover 14,000 points. It's best to purchase the Premium+ Pass at tier 34 since tiers 34 to 38 cover the largest amount of points that can be covered by the Premium+ Pass advancement feature. Tiers 44 to 48 require more points but since you have to purchase the Premium+ pass to get beyond Tier 38, the advancement feature will only cover Tiers 39 to 43.
If you buy the Premium+ Pass at Tier 34 and take the double point week into consideration, 106,800 points are required the first 3 weeks and 213,600 points are required during the double point week.
NEW FEATURES: Trains are Here! The train feature comes with a suite of new things including a new currency and service category called Mass Transit. I believe the "Extend Assignment" feature in Contest of Mayors was introduced during this update.
There are 48 tiers, 19 of which have Free Pass rewards, 38 have Premium Pass rewards, and 10 have Premium Pass+ rewards.
