SimCity Classics Promo.
SimCity Classics is an event where players are given the opportunity to earn buildings from the Contest of Mayors Seasons or from a previous Mayor's Pass Season. So far, 14 out of 15 Contest of Mayors Season have been featured in this event and 15 out of 59 Mayor’s Pass Seasons have been featured. Contest of Mayors Season 5: (Luxury Beach) is the only season to be featured twice.
It currently occurs the last week of each Mayor's Pass. This event was introduced the 3rd week of Mayor's Pass Season 28: Dream Holiday on February 1, 2023. It did not appear during Season 29 but appeared the last week of the Mayor's Pass from Mayor's Pass Season 30: Florence to Mayor's Pass Season 48: Hong Kong. It did not appear during the 10th Anniversary Season - Mayor's Pass Season 49: Memory Lane. At the start of 2025, this event’s appearance alternated between the 3rd and 4th week of the season from Mayor's Pass Season 50: Hawaii to Mayor's Pass Season 53: Brutalist Architecture. Since Season 53, it has occurred during Season 4 of a Mayor’s Pass Season.
Prior to 2025, most Classic seasons only included 6 buildings regardless of how many were included in the original season. There was four in the event track, another available for SimCash in the building menu, and another available in a 24-hour offer for real money. The exception would be SimCity Classic 10 and SimCity Classic 13 which included a Classic limited-time shop. In 2025, more buildings from the source season was included. Four in an event track, 2 available in the building menu for SimCash, and 2 available in separate Classic offers. Currently, it’s more random. At the very least, the Classic event will include an event track with 4 buildings, a building in the building menu for SimCash and a building in an offer for real money. There are also offers for buildings unrelated to the Classic event.
The event track is usually in the format of most event tracks - where players must acquire event points to advance to the next tier in the track. However, for the Palaces and Casino Classics, 2 types of event tracks were used. Players only received one type which appeared to be random. The two types are the one previously mentioned and then a type where players have the option to choose which rewards they want. For both tracks, players have to earn event points to get the reward they want. The Casino Classics event also had 2 different set of points for the second type of event track mention. From SimCity Classic 1 to SimCity Classic 26, players usually had to collect 3,230 event points to earn everything on the event track. The exception would be SimCity Classic Casinos and Palaces. The SimCity Classics - Beach Event that occurred in Sep. 2025 required the highest amount of event points at 10,800.
The Classic building available in the buildings menu is usually available as long as the event track is available. You can purchased up to 2 and it ranges in price from 800 to 1,300 SimCash.
The Classic building offer is usually available on the first day of the Classic event. It will expire 24 hours after it appears for you.
The Classic limited-time shop is available between 6 to 7 days. It includes returning limited-time buildings related to the theme. Buildings within the shop can be purchased using SimCash, Golden Keys or real money.
